INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

The below awards celebrate talented individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the organisation or industry they work in, demonstrating excellent service to customers, or external stakeholders and being a dedicated team player who contributes to the success of others.

 

Each of the individual awards categories represents the sector of the individual’s employer.
 

ORGANISATION AWARDS

The below awards seek to recognise organisations or teams in the public, private, not for profit and voluntary sectors that have demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and pushed the agenda forward within their organisation.

In order to be eligible for these awards, organisations (or teams) must have a permanent office in the UK.

MICRO BUSINESS & SOLOPRENEUR AWARDS

Micro Business/Solopreneur

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in legal and accounting and other professional services, which includes audit, management consultancy, office administration and business support employment and recruitment and similar.

Awarding solopreneuers and micro business owners whose business demonstrates commitment and progress in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion.

ELIGIBILITY

Employer Awards

In order to be eligible for these awards, organisations (or teams) must have a permanent office in the UK.

Individual Awards

In order to be eligible for these awards, nominees must be UK citizens (or currently resident in the UK) of Caribbean or African heritage, or mixed race Caribbean or African and employed part-time or full-time, either on a permanent basis or under a Fixed Term Contract within IR35.

Professional Services, Legal and Accounting

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in legal and accounting and other professional services, which includes audit, management consultancy, office administration and business support employment and recruitment and similar.

Financial Services, Insurance and Banking

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in financial services, insurance, banking, and also includes leasing, credit card services, wealth management, investments and pensions and similar.

FMCG, Retail, Hospitality and Tourism

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in the production of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), supermarkets, online and high street shops, hotels, bars and restaurants, sporting venues and similar.

Public Sector/Services, NHS and Education

Awarding individuals who work anywhere within the public sector including social and health care, housing, and in all educational settings, whether in the public, not for profit or private sectors.

Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in the utilities, energy, telecommunications sectors including oil and gas, renewables, nuclear, telephony, internet services, cable and satellite, and similar.

Marketing, Media and Creative

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in market research, marketing, events, PR, advertising, design, publishing and all media including press, digital, social media, radio, film and TV and similar.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths Manufacturing & Construction

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in science, technology, engineering, manufacturing and construction, including automotive, aerospace, agricultural technology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electronics, architecture and similar.

Charitable, Voluntary and Social Change

Awarding individuals who work in charitable, not for profit, social enterprises, NGOs and voluntary sectors, or organisations with a primary purpose of social change.

Rising Star

Awarding an individual who works in any sector and has shown growth in their career during the past year. Whether this is through accepting increased responsibility, demonstrating a major contribution to the success of the company they work for or providing great service to their customers, colleagues, suppliers, or other stakeholders.

Senior Leader

Awarding individuals who work in any sector currently making an organisation-wide impact and operating at Executive level, Executive level -1 or equivalent.

Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain & Facilities Management

This category awards individuals who work for organisations that provide transportation, distribution, storage, procurement or buying services and similar.

Large Business

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in legal and accounting and other professional services, which includes audit, management consultancy, office administration and business support employment and recruitment and similar.

Awarding private, voluntary and not for profit sector organisations with a headcount of 250 or more and all public sector that have demonstrated commitment and progress in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion, and pushed the agenda forward within their organisation.

 Small Business

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in financial services, insurance, banking, and also includes leasing, credit card services, wealth management, investments and pensions and similar.

Awarding private, voluntary and not for profit sector organisations with a headcount of less than 250 that have demonstrated commitment and progress in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Employee Resource Group

Awarding individuals who work for organisations in the production of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), supermarkets, online and high street shops, hotels, bars and restaurants, sporting venues and similar.

This award is for staff networks, including Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), affinity networks, diversity councils and committees that have made a demonstrable difference to the diversity and inclusion within an organisation through ongoing work or specific initiatives.

Charitable, Voluntary and Social Change Organisation

Awarding individuals who work for organisations that provide transportation, distribution, storage, procurement or buying services and similar.

Awarding charitable, not for profit, social enterprises, NGOs and voluntary sectors, or organisations with a primary purpose of social change, that have demonstrated commitment and progress in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion.
